As part of “France Year” in China, of which BNP Paribas is a partner, Ballet Preljocaj began a tour this week that will take it from Shanghai to Guangdong via Beijing’s Tian Qiao Theater.
The Ballet, which is a long-standing partner of the BNP Paribas Foundation, will offer the Chinese public a major work from the contemporary French repertoire: Romeo and Juliet, based on Prokofiev’s composition.

The futuristic decor designed by cartoonist Enki Bilal, combined with the dramaturgy, sensuality, and virtuosity of Preljocaj’s rendering, have made this a timeless interpretation.
The performances offer BNP Paribas an opportunity to invite a hundred clients to Shanghai’s Majestic Theater to discover one of France’s leading choreographers. |
