BNP Paribas is named Bank of the Year 2007 for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in Project Finance by Project Finance International

BNP Paribas confirmed its high score in both the value and volume of deals with a diverse portfolio of project investments in 2007 across a selection of interesting jurisdictions and sectors. Notable infrastructure deals included acting as a Mandated Lead Aarranger on the Corinth-Tripoli-Kalamata freeway and the Leuktro Sparta expressway road in Greece, the Newcastle BSF project, as well as being part of the group on the Euro 1.52 billion debt for the purchase of Budapest Airport and the M6 motorhighway in Hungary (PFI’s PPP Deal of the year),
Industrial and oil and gas mandates include the Ambatovy nickel project in Madagascar (PFI’s Mining Deal of the Year), the Emirates Aluminium smelter project in Abu Dhabi (PFI’s EMEA Industry Deal of the Year), the Alujain propane plant in Saudi Arabia, Agrium in Egypt, the Segas LNG refinancing, the Addax Petroleum expansion in Nigeria and the Khakas aluminium smelter in Russia.
