BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointment of Johnson C K Tan as the new Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas Capital (Singapore) Ltd and Regional Head of Corporate Finance for South East Asia. In this capacity he will contribute to the development of the Group’s Corporate Finance business in Asia and continue to build the top-ranking position the bank has achieved.
Over the last 20 years, Johnson has amassed wide experience in Investment Banking ranging from Derivatives to Mergers and Acquisitions. He has held senior positions in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore with major international financial institutions. He has also been instrumental in a number of significant Merger and Acquisition deals for large corporates, financial institutions and government bodies in ASEAN.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Johnson was the Managing Director of Corporate Finance South East Asia, Macquarie.
Johnson, who is based in Singapore, will be reporting to Christian De Charnace, Chief Executive Officer of Corporate Finance, Asia-Pacific.
